According to Maiuri, this was a shop with counter (cereals and vegetables; corn and beans); in the glass-case some silver rings and a seal with the name of A(uli) Fuferi.
See Maiuri, Amedeo, (1977). Herculaneum. 7th English ed, of Guidebooks to the Museums Galleries and Monuments of Italy, No.53 (p.57).
Deiss wrote that a couple of doors up the street (from the wine shop) was another shop whose owner is known from his seal.
Aulus Fuferus rushed off without seal and silver rings.
His speciality was cereals and vegetables, and perhaps fruit.
The cereals and the beans remain, but the vegetables were more perishable.
See Deiss, J.J. 1968. Herculaneum: a city returns to the sun. UK, The History Book Club, (p.106)
Wallace-Hadrill wrote that shop number 13 with its sales counter found with a large quantity of carbonized grain, beans and chickpeas, which are duly displayed to the public in glass cases.
On page 280, he wrote that doubts fall too on the carbonized grain, beans and chickpeas found in the dolia in the counter of the shop at no.13. The excavation diaries say nothing of these finds, but do mention amphorae full of similar carbonized material found in the upper floor of a nearby flat.
See Wallace-Hadrill, A. (2011). Herculaneum, Past and Future. London, Frances Lincoln Ltd., (p.278 and p.280).
According to Guidobaldi, this was a “popina” with rear-room and a triclinium for the clients.

Comparing this with the photo below, it would seem the doorway (on the left) leads to other rooms, whereas the “doorway” (centre left) would appear to have been an arched recess originally.
